In this role, you will have overall responsibility for our work in quality, environment and work environment. You will be an important part of ensuring that our projects are conducted in accordance with legal requirements, customer requirements, internal guidelines and our own goals. At the same time, you will be involved in driving improvements that strengthen both the safety culture, the quality of the projects and our long-term sustainability work.

About the roles

As KMA Manager, you are responsible for developing, coordinating and following up Nordia’s work in quality, environment and work environment. You work closely with management, project managers, site managers and other parts of the organization to create clear routines, functioning processes and a safe working environment out in the business.

The role is both strategic and operational. This means that you drive the overall KMA work, while at the same time being close to the projects and supporting practical issues linked to the work environment, quality assurance, environmental requirements, documentation and follow-up.

Your main tasks will be

In this role you will, among other things:

– be responsible for and further develop the company’s KMA system
– ensure compliance with laws, regulations, standards and internal procedures
– develop and implement procedures for systematic work environment management
– support the project organization in work environment, quality and environmental issues
– carry out safety rounds, risk assessments and workplace inspections
– handle incidents, accidents, deviations and corrective actions
– follow up self-inspections, quality work and documentation in projects
– draw up and follow up environmental plans
– work with issues linked to waste, chemicals, climate impact and sustainable construction
– coordinate internal and external audits
– produce statistics, reports and key figures within KMA
– be the contact person for authorities, customers and external auditors in the KMA area

You will also participate in tendering and start-up work from a KMA perspective and help to ensure that the right conditions are in place from the start of the projects.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have experience of KMA work in the construction industry. You have a good understanding of contracting activities, construction processes, management systems and the requirements for work environment, quality and environment in a project environment.

You are confident in your skills and have the ability to both drive issues independently and engage others. To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, clear and communicative. You find it easy to collaborate with different functions, while daring to make demands when necessary.

We believe you are a person who sees the big picture, but also understands the importance of details. You have a high sense of responsibility, good integrity and a solution-oriented approach.

We would like you to have

– relevant post-secondary education in construction, work environment, environment or quality
– education in work environment legislation and systematic work environment management
– experience of KMA work in construction and civil engineering
– experience of management systems and audits
– good knowledge of the Work Environment Act, AFS regulations and environmental legislation
– good administrative skills and used to working with documentation
– good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
– B driving license

Knowledge or training in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, as well as experience in construction law and industry-specific requirements, would be an advantage.
